Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Experience in a Long-Term Acute Care unit preferred. - Neuro experience needed. - Complex wound care skills. - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Tracheostomy care and management. Description: This position is for a nurse working in a Long-Term Acute Care environment. Candidates must have minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience. This position requires proficiency in managing dysrhythmias and performing complex wound care. Experience with tracheostomy care and management is essential. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. The nurse will work a rotating call schedule for weekend coverage among staff members. Daily patient census will be approximately 15 adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Travelers must have 1 year of experience with an electronic medical records system. Floating to other units may be required based on census concerns. Modules related to the position must be completed prior to starting.
