    RN - Med Surg/Tele

    Job Details:

    • Day and night shifts available, 12-hour shifts
    • Day shift hours: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
    • Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
    • Every other weekend rotation required
    • Holiday coverage required as needed
    • Float to like units as needed
    • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required
    • Travel experience required
    • Epic EMR experience required
    • Wisconsin RN or compact RN license required
    • BLS certification required (AHA only)
    • Must pass Telemetry test prior to start - two attempts allowed with strict passing criteria
    • Telemetry exam passing requirements include 100% identification of lethal rhythms, no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions, and an overall passing score of 80% or higher
    • Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV insulin protocols, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, telemetry, titration of insulin drips, and use of rapid response and code teams
    • Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 28-bed acute care unit
    • Unit focuses on general internal medicine, geriatrics, and special pathogens populations
    • Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
    • Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
