Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg/Tele
Job Details:
• Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required (1 in 3) and holidays as needed
• Option to work 4x12 shifts if preferred
• Primary patient population is Orthopedic Trauma patients, with frequent Neurosurgery overflow
• Patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Must achieve 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Skills required include: blood product administration, central line blood draw, heparin and insulin drips, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, peripheral nerve block catheters, PICC line management, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and more
• Special procedures include: heparin drips, insulin drips, peripheral nerve catheters, epidurals, and PCAs
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response Teams, and Unit Secretary

The facility operates a 27-bed unit with a daily census of 27 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services. The facility offers a full range of specialty services and is recognized for its excellence in patient care and medical education.
