Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and execute individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care processes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Be willing and able to float to different units as needed based on patient care demands.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience is required.
  • Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital is highly preferred.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
  • Current state nursing license must be valid at the time of application.
  • Ability to work 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with weekend rotation required.
  • Please limit requests for time off to 3-5 days.

Additional Information

Housing can be a challenge; candidates are advised to explore housing options prior to applying. Please note that only applicants with a permanent address located at least 50 miles away from the facility will be considered.
