Ratios are 1:5-6 for days and weekends, and 1:6 for nights. First-timers are accepted for this position. The clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs. The worker will be pre-assigned to a particular unit if communicated. Workers remaining in the float pool are required to call in for their unit assignment up to 1 hour before their scheduled shift start time. The position requires 3 shifts per week guaranteed; cancellations must be for the regular shift length assigned. The nurse will use lift devices; training will be provided. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. All travelers must float within the service line. RTO is restricted to a maximum of 7 days per contract. No RTO is allowed the first week of an assignment. Certifications are required to be obtained within specified timelines.
