Job Title: RN MS/Tele Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical, Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required; IV start and Telemetry required Must-Have: - Lift devices training provided - Successful completion of training for ceiling lifts and bladder scanner Description: The RN MS/Tele Float position requires the ability to float to all medical units, including renal, oncology, and neuro. Nurses will care for adult and geriatric patient populations. The patient ratio is typically 1:5-6 during the day and weekends, and 1:6 during nights. Every other weekend or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule is required, along with a holiday rotation obligation. Certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and telemetry are mandatory. Candidates must have experience in IV starts and telemetry monitoring. The facility will provide proper training on lift devices, ceiling lifts, and bladder scanners. Nurses are expected to demonstrate competency in managing central lines, telemetry, and dysrhythmias. Additional skills include the administration of oxygen, phlebotomy, and wound care management. The role supports interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Compliance with floating policies and completion of required modules prior to the start of the assignment is necessary.
