Description:
Seeking a registered nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
The unit consists of 38 beds, 8 of which are designated for telemetry.
The nurse will float to the telemetry unit as needed.
Charge nurses generally do not take patients but provide break relief.
Nurse aides are available as census and staffing dictate.
The nurse will work every other weekend and rotate holidays with core staff.
Scrub colors must be navy, and undershirts should be navy, white, or black.
The setting is fast-paced with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Common diagnoses include general MedSurg patients and post-operative general and orthopedic patients.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
A medical or religious COVID vaccine declination is accepted.
The charting system used is Cerner.
Floating to telemetry is expected.
Self-scheduling is practiced, with schedules released four weeks in advance.
Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment.
