This role involves working in a typical med/surg telemetry unit, providing care primarily to elderly patients with respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and neurological conditions. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg / Telemetry

• Manage a team of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT for up to 9 patients
• Provide patient care in respiratory, cardiac, GI, neuro, and ortho overflow
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, PT, RT, and more
• Administer medications and manage patient care in accordance with protocols
• Utilize specialized skills such as cardiac telemetry and IV management

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg / Telemetry

• Current NY RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
