Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in a dynamic medical environment. This role requires critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while delivering high-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical telemetry unit.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings, interpreting data and identifying potential issues.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 months of professional experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting.
  • Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Shift Information

This position involves working night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Contract Details

This is a 13 to 20-week contract opportunity.
