Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 2, 2026

Schedule: Days/Nights or Nights only; staffing ratios goal of 1:4 (may be 1:5); variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units
Highlights:
- 36-bed specialty oncology unit caring for all solid tumor cancers throughout the entire cancer journey, from new diagnosis through treatment to end-of-life care
- Oncology experience preferred but not required—excellent opportunity for nurses seeking to expand into oncology specialty
- Common patient diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus chemotherapy management
- EPIC charting system with telemetry monitoring and interpretation; 72 hours of orientation provided
- Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
- Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety best practices
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license)
- BLS certification required; ONS Chemo certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Current and consistent experience within the last 12 months in specialty area
- Skills required: telemetry interpretation and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, blood product administration, central line blood draws, isolation precautions, accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care/management
- EPIC charting experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
