Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years RN Experience Required License: Valid State License Required Certifications: BCLS Required, ACLS Preferred, NIHSS Preferred, OCN Preferred Must-Have: - Epic Experience Required - Previous Travel Experience Preferred - Oncology Experience Preferred but Not Required - IV Starts, Telemetry, Tracheostomy Management Skills Description: This position requires responsibility for patient care in a mixed acuity setting involving PCU and MS patients. The contract involves potential scheduling for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on department needs. Shift assignments will be reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities. Successful candidates must demonstrate acute care experience that is current and relevant within the last 12 months. Key competencies include administration of chemotherapy, BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Management of dysrhythmias and tracheostomy care are also essential skills required for this position. Candidates are expected to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention is emphasized. Interdisciplinary support includes access to physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Daily patient care involves managing head and neck cancers and neuro-oncology diagnoses. Note that candidates must complete required credentialing processes promptly after acceptance of the position.
