The nurse will be working with patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration. The patient care includes managing symptom management secondary to disease-related treatment or progression. There is a significant focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls. The care team will manage comorbidities in patients receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management. The nurse will utilize various special equipment, including telemetry monitors and pumps. Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required. The patient population may include adults and geriatrics with various cancer diagnoses and treatment complications. Successful candidates will be adaptable and able to work a combination of day and night shifts, depending on departmental needs. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork are necessary to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
