Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Med-Surg/Telemetry – New York

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 13-week contract with every other weekend requirement

Highlights:
  • Work in a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility with Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center certification
  • Patient ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:7 on Med-Surg/Telemetry units
  • EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
  • Floating required within Med-Surg skillset
  • Flexible call-off policy allows up to three shifts during contract period without penalty
  • First-time travelers welcomed with comprehensive orientation
Requirements:
  • Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; NY is not a Compact state)
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience; must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months
  • EPIC charting experience is mandatory
  • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
  • Experience with Rapid Response and Code team activation protocols
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
  • Availability to work every other holiday as needed
