Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – New York

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required. Day/evening ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7). Night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10 as needed). 20-bed unit with Patient Care Technician support for vital signs, glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living.

- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and radiology
- EPIC charting system with 4-hour classroom orientation plus hands-on unit training
- Float opportunities to MS, ICU, and ED units (caring for Med/Surg level patients only, within scope of practice)
- Equipment experience includes Hoyer lifts and wound vac therapy
- First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience
Requirements:
- Active New York RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience mandatory
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement/peripheral line management
- EPIC charting experience strongly preferred (required per facility compliance)
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response team protocols
- Experience with respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Must reside 75+ miles from facility location
- Time-off requests should be limited to approximately one week during assignment
