TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Rochester, New York, 14445!

Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN – New York

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every-other-weekend requirement. Day/evening ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7). Night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10). Patient care technicians provide support with vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and activities of daily living.

  • Medical surgical and telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and stroke patient populations
  • Epic charting system with 4 hours of orientation provided
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
  • 20-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Required flexibility to float within scope to medical surgical, ICU, and emergency department units
  • Holiday time-off restricted; up to 7 days of personal time off may be requested
Requirements:
  • Valid New York RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent medical surgical and/or telemetry experience
  • Current BLS certification required; NIHSS certification required
  • Epic charting experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and IV insertion (mandatory skill for all RNs)
  • Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Experience with peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
  • Knowledge of rapid response team protocols and activation procedures
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
