• Environment: 28-bed unit with a patient population focused on orthopedic recovery and select medical cases

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, or acute care hospital settings preferred
• Background with orthopedic or post-op patients preferred, including familiarity with surgical drains and mobility support
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to stay calm, adapt quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and evidence-based nursing practice

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry with attention to rhythm changes and clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Care for orthopedic, post-operative, trauma, and selected medical patients
• Support patients with drains, oxygen therapies, and post-op mobility needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support patient recovery
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding, comfort, and successful discharge planning
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality outcomes throughout every shift
• Respond confidently to changing patient conditions and prioritize care appropriately
