Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, stepdown, or acute care hospital settings strongly preferred
• Comfort caring for orthopedic, post-op, and telemetry patients
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and effective in a dynamic hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and prioritize care needs appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and nursing practice guidelines
• Monitor telemetry, assess dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for orthopedic and post-operative patients, including patients with surgical drains and mobility needs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other care team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
• Support patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication across the care team
• Provide compassionate, relationship-based care that supports positive patient outcomes
