Compensation & Schedule Details

  • Hours & Shift: Night shift (36 hours per week, 1900–0730; 12-hour shifts).
  • Contract Length: Travel contract (Target Start Date: September 11, 2026).
  • Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday). Holidays worked into permanent staff rotation.

Key Facility Policies & Unit Scope

  • Grooming & Safety:No false/artificial nails permitted.
  • Unit Overview & Ratios: 29-bed Unit 7N Cardiac/Tele Stepdown. Patient ratios are 1:5–6. Support includes CNAs (typically 1 CNA per 12 patients; 2 on nights) and 24/7 charge nurses (night charge nurse takes an assignment).
  • Floating & Dress Code: May float to any Med-Surg/Tele unit. Royal blue scrubs required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Clinical Skills: Must be able to independently read/interpret telemetry strips (Phillips monitors) and titrate cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro up to 50 mcg). Patients include cardiac post-cath, AMI, post-op lung surgery, respiratory failure, pacemakers, and post-PCI (no sheaths or arterial lines pulled).
  • Licensure: Active West Virginia (WV) RN license or multi-state compact RN license in hand.
  • Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required at submittal.
