Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse positions are available in a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare setting. This role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses, excluding critical care. The facility requires dedicated professionals to work the night shift, ensuring quality patient care and operational efficiency.
Job Details:
- Shift/Schedule: Nights, 3x12 hours per week, from 19:00 to 07:30, with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
- Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland or a Compact license, BLS, NIH, CPI certifications; at least 2 years of experience; experience with patient ratios of 1:5 during days and 1:4 on weekends; proficiency with the Epic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in medical-surgical and telemetry units; familiarity with rapid response teams; experience managing multiple clinical equipment and protocols.
- Certifications: Current BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), CPI; ACLS preferred.
- Patient Care Details: Care for adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 15 patients, handling a variety of diagnoses in a unit that supports interdisciplinary collaboration including respiratory, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and radiology services.
- Schedule and Duty Notes: Weekend coverage required every other weekend; on-call not scheduled; floating may be necessary within the specialty.
- Additional Information: Must be comfortable floating within scope as a traveler, with RTO requests limited to 7 days, and open for one major holiday off during the winter season upon scheduling approval.
- Submission Requirements: Active MD or Compact RN license, CPI certification from an approved online vendor, and compliance documents due 5 days prior to start.
