Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in the specialty
- Current hands-on experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- Epic experience required
- Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to medical-surgical telemetry patients with complex diagnoses
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient status
- Support patients receiving treatment for solid tumor cancers and related medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care and clinical protocols
- Maintain strong infection prevention practices and patient fall precautions
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Float to other Med/Surg oncology units as needed
- Document care accurately in Epic and support smooth unit operations
- Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced healthcare environment focused on safety, teamwork, and excellent patient outcomes
