- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Patient Census: 36 beds
- Weekend Coverage: Variable based on unit needs
- Floating: Required to other Med/Surg oncology units
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg Tele or telemetry nursing
- Telemetry interpretation and continuous telemetry monitoring experience
- BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts and adapt to variable weekend scheduling
- Oncology nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology and hematology patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Administer chemotherapy-related care and support patients receiving antineoplastic treatment
- Manage ports, central lines, IV therapy, blood products, and isolation precautions
- Support infection prevention efforts and patient fall reduction initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated patient care
- Float to other Med/Surg oncology units as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and uphold high standards of patient safety
