Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• 2 years of inpatient nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience in the specialty within the last 12 months required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Oncology nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
• Comfortable caring for high-acuity adult and geriatric patients
• Professional references required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical oncology patients in a Med Surg Telemetry setting
• Monitor telemetry, assess changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Support infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety best practices
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Perform and support common med-surg/telemetry skills such as line care, PCA management, CBI monitoring, and dysrhythmia observation
• Float to equivalent or lower acuity Med Surg Tele units as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
