Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience required
• Recent acute care experience in the specialty preferred and expected
• Telemetry and Med/Surg experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education required
• Ability to float to other med/surg telemetry units as needed
• Strong commitment to infection prevention and fall prevention practices
• Oncology experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to medical oncology patients with mixed acuity needs
• Monitor telemetry, assess changes in condition, and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Administer medications and support therapies commonly used in med/surg and telemetry settings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Support infection prevention, patient safety, and fall reduction initiatives
• Float to comparable units based on operational needs
• Use critical thinking and clinical judgment while caring for a high-acuity adult and geriatric population
