Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a related acute care specialty
• Current acute care experience required and must be consistent within the last 12 months
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ability to support chemotherapy-adjacent patient care and infection prevention best practices
• Must be willing to complete credentialing and fingerprinting promptly

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric oncology patients with telemetry needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes in patient condition in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols and physician orders
• Manage central lines, ports, IVs, and other specialized patient care needs
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and complex medical care
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapy, and other support services
• Promote infection prevention, fall prevention, and patient safety standards
• Float to equivalent or lower-acuity Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
