Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position follows a streamlined clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within a short timeframe following their application, with decisions typically made promptly.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the care of assigned patients during your shift. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while considering age-specific criteria.
• Utilizing scientific knowledge and clinical skills to make informed judgments regarding patient care.
• Assisting in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-Hour Nights)
• Hours: 36 Hour Guarantee
• Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend
• On Call Requirements: No Call

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Attendance and punctuality are crucial, with a commitment to reporting for all assigned shifts on time.
• Demonstrated competence with cardiac medications (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and knowledge of titration and application of these medications.
• Proficiency in telemetry with an understanding of heart rhythms.
• Critical thinking skills to recognize changes in patient status and take appropriate intervention measures.
• Adequate knowledge of stroke signs and symptoms, with the ability to respond swiftly to changes in patient condition.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Certification Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIHSS Certification.

Licensure Requirements

• Must possess an active Ohio RN License or a Compact RN License.
