GHR Healthcare - Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lima, Ohio.
Position Details
MS/Tele Ortho Unit
Must have 2 years of experience
BLS, ACLS required
Unit Specific Details
28 Bed Unit
Drips: Heparin, rarely a PCA with morphine, Dilaudid, etc., We do not do any other drips here.
Other information: Manager prefers traveler to be able to communicate well with patients and other staff members. They also prefer someone with background or knowledge about surgical drains and some experience with how to move these patients post-op. (i.e. Backs, Hips, Knees.).
Alaris pumps, hercules beds. Lines/Drains/Devices: Hemovac drains, True-close drains, JP drains. (Lumbar drains-CSF go to our neuro step-down).
Oxygen: Only bipap if not continuous, Nasal cannula, occasional non-rebreather or venturi mask-until able to transfer off. No vents or trachs.
Patient Population: Mainly Orthopedic (Backs, Necks, Knees, Hips) Some trauma patients with orthopedic injuries. Some medical patients (UTI, appendicitis, generalized weakness, Etc). Bariatric Surgery patients day of surgery and POD
