Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Must be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• Compliance requirements must be completed as outlined prior to start
• Open cases, license hits, and incomplete requirements are not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with best practices
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit standards
• Participate in orientation, competency testing, and required education modules
• Deliver patient-focused care while helping maintain a calm, efficient, and team-oriented unit environment
