Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience within the last year required
• Experience floating as needed in an acute care hospital setting
• Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Ability to work in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment with varying patient assignments
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to adolescent through geriatric patients requiring medical and/or surgical intervention
• Care for patients with a wide range of needs, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal surgery, urology, women’s health, gynecology, plastics, ENT, trauma, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, and spinal/neuro overflow
• Support patients experiencing obstetrical-related concerns such as preeclampsia, fetal demise, hyperemesis, substance withdrawal, and diabetic pregnancies
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader healthcare team to maintain safe, efficient patient flow
• Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments throughout the shift
• Follow unit standards, documentation expectations, and infection prevention practices
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting
