Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Med Surg Tele Experience Meditech Experience Description: Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility. Candidates must have ACLS certification prior to submission. The unit has a total of 36 beds and a staff of 32. During day shifts, there is 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses (RN/LPN mix), 3 techs, and 1 secretary. During night shifts, there is 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses (RN/LPN mix), and 3 techs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6 to 1. Equipment used in the unit includes an EKG machine, DynaMaps, bladder scanner, vein finder, and telemetry. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include heart catheterizations. The ideal candidate will possess time management skills and critical thinking skills. A positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and helpful nature are preferred traits in candidates. Every other weekend or two full weekends per month are required for this role.
