Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an acute care hospital setting License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Acute care inpatient experience Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse with a focus on medical surgical care. This position will involve caring for patients with various medical conditions. Common diagnoses include post-operative care, chest pain, cardiac dysrhythmias, and respiratory issues. Nurses will be expected to interpret telemetry and monitor patients consistently. One supervisor reference from the most recent assignment is necessary for submission. The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:6 but may increase depending on staffing needs. Nurses must manage liquid drips, including Heparin and Amiodarone. Team members will frequently collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Self-scheduling is available but the initial schedule will have to be assigned. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required according to unit needs. Nurses will clock in and out of the facility for attendance tracking. The dress code is black scrubs, including both top and bottom. Candidates must have recently used the EPIC electronic medical record system. Zero tolerance for any hits on nursing license or background will be enforced. Nurses are expected to engage in patient education and provide holistic care. Experience in teaching facilities is preferred.
