Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 12-bed MS/Tele unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4, allowing for quality patient care and attention. This position involves working nights and offers the choice of 36 or 48 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various diagnoses including respiratory and renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress notes in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, including float policies as required.

Work Schedule

This is a night shift position consisting of three 12-hour shifts, from 19:00 to 07:00. The successful candidate will be required to work every other weekend and two out of three winter holidays. Time off around Christmas cannot be accommodated. A maximum of 40 hours can be approved for time off.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is necessary.
• Ability to float to other units as required by staffing needs.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply, but previous experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry environment is preferred.

Contract Details

This contract is for a duration of 13 weeks. Please note that block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
