Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment, primarily working with medical-surgical patients while also being capable of handling telemetry requirements.

Schedule

• 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Charge RN shifts may be required as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assist with the use of Rapid Response teams
• Administer blood products and manage peripheral lines
• Start IVs and manage heparin, insulin, and PCA administration
• Utilize nasal cannulas and follow isolation precautions
• Float to other units or facilities as required

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Must be able to pass an EKG exam during onboarding
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios

All travelers are subject to float across multiple locations in the region if needed. Candidates must be flexible and prepared to work in a dynamic environment.
