Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg/Tele

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med-Surg/Tele unit with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. This position is primarily for medical-surgical patients but requires a telemetric background due to the EKG requirement.

Job Details

  • Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Schedule: Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed
  • Floating: Required if needed across all facilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for observation patients, individuals with respiratory conditions, and general medical-surgical diagnoses.
  • Care for palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients.
  • Manage psychiatric observation cases and support patients with diabetes, including new diabetics and those with complications.
  • Assist with post-surgical care and monitor patients during surgical observation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Successful completion of an EKG exam during onboarding is mandatory.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
  • Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
