Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
The unit accommodates first-time travelers with a minimum of two years of experience.
Patient diagnoses include chest pain, coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmias, diabetes, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, hypertension, myocardial infarction, renal failure, pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, and syncope.
There is always potential for medical-surgical overflow.
The unit performs pre/post catheterization lab procedures, vascular surgeries, and ablations.
Nurses will be expected to manage telemetry monitoring and provide on-unit monitoring.
Candidates must be comfortable with emergency team assignments and must work during designated holiday periods.
Special procedures include sheath pulling at the bedside and performance of various test titrations, including Cardizem and Dobutamine.
Nurses might be pulled to other inpatient units based on staffing needs.
Specific scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed.
Staff will receive interdisciplinary support from various medical and therapeutic services.
