Description:
Posted as Med-Surg/Telemetry due to EKG requirement for all RNs.
Patient population will primarily be Med-Surg.
3x12-hour shifts, Nights, EOW.
Holidays as needed.
Floating required across all facilities if necessary.
First-time travelers are welcome.
BLS certification required.
Traveler will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
Patient diagnoses include respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative care, end of life, hospice patients, psychiatric observation, and diabetes management.
Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
Previous Charge RN experience preferred.
Patient ratios are 5-6 on nights.
Daily census averages 12 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Patients must be 18 or older and physiologically stable.
New admissions will have vital signs assessed every 4 hours for the first 24 hours.
Routine assessments required at least every shift.
Travelers may be floated to any facility as needed.
All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts allowed.
Modules for training may be required and will vary in duration.
