Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Position Overview

This role requires an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in a medically sophisticated unit focused on adult and geriatric patients. The nursing team operates within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely to ensure high-quality patient care. Nurses will be expected to float to different units as necessary, accommodating varying patient census and needs.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, with potential variability based on facility needs
• Floating: Required to other facilities and units based on patient care demands

Patient Population

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, addressing a range of medical conditions, including:

• Respiratory diseases
• Infections
• Dementia
• Neurological disorders

The unit emphasizes a healthy work environment and effective teamwork, with a Charge Nurse available every shift to facilitate workflow and oversight of operations.

Professional Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the field; first-time travelers will be evaluated based on overall experience.
• Certifications: Must possess ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and a valid registered nurse license in South Carolina.
• Skills: Proficiency in Medication System: Omnicell and Documentation System: EPIC (minimum of 1 year of experience required).
• Special Procedures: Competency in Medical Surgical/Telemetry skills is mandatory to meet floating requirements.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must successfully pass an EKG exam as part of the hiring process.
