Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

  • 36-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Diverse patient population including COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, and general surgery cases
  • Epic EMR and Pyxis medication management systems
  • 13-week contract with 24 hours of unit orientation provided
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and lift teams
  • First-time travelers welcome with strong med-surg experience

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience required
  • Current RN license (NC or Compact state license accepted)
  • BCLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • OCN and Chemotherapy Administration certification preferred
  • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response protocols
  • Competency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care, and IV starts
  • Experience with respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Must be willing to float to all areas holding Medical Surgical patients
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
