Job Opportunity – Progressive Care/Step-Down RN – Tennessee
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Eastern Tennessee

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend required, with potential adjustment based on staffing needs. Floating to similar units may be required based on census.
Highlights:
- Progressive care/step-down unit serving patients transitioning from ICU without ventilator or pressor support
- Manage cardiac drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and Sotalol initiation with continuous telemetry monitoring
- Patient population includes those with higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization care
- 6:1 patient ratio with 24 hours of orientation and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Epic EMR charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Flexible contract length options: 13 or 26 weeks available
Requirements:
- Active Tennessee RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent progressive care or step-down nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with 6:1 patient ratios preferred
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, blood product administration, and post-cardiac catheterization care
- First-time travelers will be considered based on demonstrated experience
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions available)
