Orientation is conducted weekly. The facility is a community hospital and regional referral center. It has 171 beds and is a certified Chest Pain Center. The hospital is designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center. The area offers outdoor recreation and picturesque scenery. It is within driving distance to several major cities. Weekend hours include four weekend shifts in a four-week schedule period. There are no on-call requirements; however, scheduled shifts may be adjusted as needed. Floating to other units within the hospital is an expectation. The unit houses a total of 40 beds. Patient ratios are 1:6. Key equipment includes IV pumps, bed/chair alarms, and drug dispensing cabinets. The electronic health record system used is Medhost. The patient population primarily includes adults and geriatrics. Recent experience with total joint patients and surgical patients is preferred. Candidates should have experience with patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. A compassionate and positive attitude is essential for this role. The dress code includes black scrubs with no open shoes allowed. This position is for a new or expanded service line.
