Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical, preferably in Oncology. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts consisting of four 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekdays and every other weekend. The contract is for a minimum of 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Perform regular assessments and monitor patient conditions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using the EMR system, Cerner.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
  • ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy certification is preferred.
  • Experience with IV starts is necessary.

Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:5-6, ensuring focused and individualized patient care.

Additional Information

  • Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear burgundy and/or white scrubs.
  • Attendance is crucial; only 2-3 call-offs will be tolerated per contract period.
