Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or a Compact state; pending license accepted for submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• AHA-issued certifications preferred where applicable
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and telemetry patient care strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting
• Permanent address must be at least 100 miles from the facility; candidates 75-100 miles may be considered case by case
• Minimum 2 manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Required documentation must be submitted by the stated deadline

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to adult med/surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform routine nursing interventions
• Support patients with a variety of acute medical conditions in a collaborative care setting
• Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, PT, and rapid response resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and follow established unit workflows
• Participate in shift huddles, patient flow support, and safe handoff communication
• Promote a positive, team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of nursing care
