The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, managing patient care for adults and geriatrics. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:6. Candidates should be familiar with managing dysrhythmias and central line care. Candidates must be comfortable floating between various medical-surgical units as needed. All shifts will require weekend coverage every other week. Applicants may be accepted with a pending nursing license, but it must be obtained before starting. Completion of basic life support certification is required upon employment. The unit will have interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Nurses will be responsible for administering medication and managing IVs. Orientation and training modules will be provided prior to starting.
