Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:5 on weekends). Six weekend shifts required per six-week schedule. Floating between units required. 12 hours of orientation provided.

- Care for a diverse neuro patient population including stroke, trauma, epilepsy monitoring, and neurosurgical patients in a 29-bed unit
- Comprehensive Stroke Center with specialized Epilepsy Monitoring Unit featuring 4 dedicated EEG beds
- EPIC electronic health record system in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and dedicated mentors
- One-year contract; first-time travelers welcome
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of registered nursing experience required
- Current RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- BLS certification required
- Experience with 1:4 patient ratios and charting systems required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred; community hospital experience preferred
- Skills required: MS/Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, neuro stepdown, remote telemetry monitoring, neurosurgical care (craniotomy, aneurysm repair, CVA, intracranial bleeds, spinal cord injury), post-TPA care, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal management, and peripheral line care
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
