Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Texas
Start Date: October 5, 2026

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:5-6 patient ratios; every other weekend required; 48-hour work weeks approved; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Float to other acute care units as needed.

- General Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 30 beds and average daily census of 27 patients
- Epic charting system; 40 hours of orientation provided
- 13-week travel assignment with seasoned traveler experience required (minimum one previous contract)

Requirements:- Active RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
- At least one completed travel nursing contract
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6
- Core competencies must include: telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, IV therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, oxygen administration including high-flow nasal cannula, heparin and insulin protocols, wound care, isolation precautions, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
- Willingness to float to other acute care departments within the facility
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
