Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. Block scheduling options available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday).

Highlights:

• Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with post-surgical and medical-surgical patient populations
• Patient ratios typically 5-6:1, with occasional flex to 7:1 in extreme cases
• Epic EMR system required; first-time travelers with Epic experience welcome
• Contract length of 13 weeks or longer available through February 27
• Floating to other medical-surgical units within the facility may be required based on census
• Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off (holidays excluded); must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience with orthopedic work experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current NC or Compact State RN license
• Required Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Required Skills: IV start and maintenance, telemetry interpretation and management
• Preferred: ACLS certification, charge nurse experience, Level I trauma experience
• Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
