TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Neuro Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required; patient ratio 1:6

Highlights:

  • Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke patients, along with epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, brain tumors, and other neurological diagnoses
  • Contract lengths up to 20+ weeks available through February 27, 2027
  • State-of-the-art 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) on-site with specialized intermediate-level care
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
  • Daily census approximately 42-50 patients in a 43-55 bed unit
  • 36-hour structured orientation with preferred scheduling options

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical Surgical experience (required)
  • Previous travel nursing experience required – must have completed at least 2 successful travel contracts
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
  • Current certifications: BLS (BCLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Strong competencies in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and neuro patient care
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Flexibility to float to other Medical Surgical/Telemetry areas as needed
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
