```htmlJob Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical / Telemetry – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45-07:15), 36-48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

  • Fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit with 10 telemetry beds for cardiac rhythm monitoring
  • Diverse patient population including GI conditions, blood loss/anemia, infections, renal patients, and post-surgical GI patients
  • Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 (may occasionally be 1:7 based on staffing needs)
  • High patient turnover with approximately one-third of beds cycling daily
  • Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
  • 36-hour orientation provided; contract length of 13 weeks or longer available

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required – must have successfully completed at least 2 travel assignments
  • Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • IV start proficiency required
  • Telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
