License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Must have at least one year of EPIC experience. Must float to similar units when needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Description: Shifts are 3x12 nights from 19:00 to 07:30. The position requires floating to similar units based on department needs. Medication system used is Omnicell. Candidates with at least one year of EPIC experience will be prioritized. Active RN license in good standing is mandatory. Candidates must have at least one year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience. Review of first-time travelers will be based on experience. Special procedures include post-heart cath and bedside procedures such as dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage. The patient care environment involves caring for adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 30 patients. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient ratios are 6:1 during the day and 7:1 during the night and on weekends. Staff must adhere to floating policies and requirements. Modules and online training are required prior to starting. All staff must complete modules annually for compliance. Competencies must be demonstrated and documented before assigning floating responsibilities. The travel policy requires staff to be a certain distance from assigned facilities for eligibility. Travelers may need to convert to employee status after a specified period of consecutive contracts. Pre-Assignment testing and required modules must be completed within specified time frames upon contract signing. This position does not allow for parking or open country restrictions to be considered.
