Wound care and drain/tube management.
PIV starts and central line management.
Description:
This role involves working on a MedSurg/Tele unit.
The unit includes 32 beds with an average daily census of 32 patients.
Patient types include stroke, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, and wounds.
Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6, with potential surge staffing ratios of 1:7-8.
Support staff include CNAs who assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and feeding.
Phlebotomy and IV/VAT teams will be available.
Respiratory therapy is provided 24/7, along with hospitalists and intensivists.
Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit.
Technology includes EMR and various medical equipment.
Virtual nursing technology is utilized for monitoring and assistance.
Floating within the region and scope of practice is required.
The schedule includes weekend rotation and potential call due to low census.
Travelers are expected to work a percentage of holidays.
Requests for time off can be approved, excluding holidays.
