The unit also accommodates patients with higher acuity medical-surgical needs. There is a strong emphasis on providing an excellent patient experience. The nurse will be responsible for the care and management of patients with a variety of diagnoses, including stroke, seizure, respiratory failure, and acute kidney failure. Duties may include administering medication, managing complex care needs, and performing specialized procedures as required. Floating to other units may be necessary based on patient care needs and the nurse's skill set.
